We offer 3 different packages to suit different needs and wants. All clients of ours receive these basics with every package, then you can choose which packages you would like depending on which added perks you want and need. If finances are the only thing holding you back from hiring us, we are open to payment plans, accept credit cards and will try to work with you to figure things out. We also offer previous clients of Central Alberta Doulas a special rate, please contact us for details! We LOVE repeat clients!

All our packages include:

  • free, no-obligation interview
  • a folder to keep all your important pregnancy-related papers together and handy
  • access to our community resources, as needed, and online access to our client only section filled with information and resources
  • the experience and knowledge of two professionally trained doulas
  • on-call 24/7 from the time you hire us, until your baby is born
  • 100% support from start to finish: via phone/text/email anytime during pregnancy and in-person during labor
  • photos during labour, delivery and immediately postpartum (non-professional quality)
  • use of our music during labour and delivery, if desired
  • early labour support via phone, continuous in person support from active labour on
  • immediate postpartum support – this can include making you a snack, helping with the first feed, getting you warm blankets, helping you shower. For home births we can empty the birth pool, throw a load of laundry in and tidy  up before we leave, so you don’t have to worry about it when you get up (1-2 hours)
  • exclusive discounts on professional photography services from Suzanne Taylor Photography
  • placenta encapsulation for just $195 by a trained and experienced encapsulator. (reg. $225)
  • access to our extensive lending library of over 200 books from the time you hire us, until your baby is a year of age

“The Kit” includes all our basics PLUS: (designed for repeat clients and 3rd/4th time moms)

One visit:

  • In-home visit: To ensure we understand how you see your birth going and know where you live if you wish to have us join you to labour at home. Talk about any last minute concerns or worries, and see if you need any further community resources before baby comes. If you are having a home birth you will show us where the home birth supplies are.  Approximately 1 hour long. Takes place between 36 & 37 weeks.

“The Caboodle” includes all our basics PLUS:

Four visits:

  1. Giving Birth Your Way: To better understand your options for your labour and delivery. Examples of how to write a birth plan and what to include. We will cover over 35 different topics. This visit will leave you feeling more prepared for what will happen during labour.  Approximately 2 hours, in your home. Best planned for between 26 and 34 weeks.
  2. Comfort Measures:  We will share comfort measures to use during labour and delivery with you. You will get to try out many different positions for labour and delivery to see which ones you like best before your labour starts. We will also share a link to watch an informative DVD that focuses on the first two weeks of your baby’s life. Your partner will feel more confident  with ways to help you after this visit!  Approximately 1 hours, in your home. Best planned for between 30 and 35 weeks.
  3. Home Visit: We will go over your birth plan and any last minute changes that may have occurred. Talk about any last minute concerns or worries, and see if you need any further community resources before baby comes.  Approximately 1 hour long, in your home. Takes place between 36 & 37 weeks.
  4. One in-home postpartum visit: To help get you off to the best possible start by the doula who attend your birth. We will see how you are doing with your new baby, answer any questions you may have and maybe have a little snuggle with your new baby. Approximately 1 hour long, in your home. Takes place between week 1 and week 12 postpartum.

Six visits:

  5. Two In-home postpartum support: Two, 4 hour in-home postpartum visits within the first 30 days. You will have the benefit of a postpartum doula coming to your home to support you and your new family during this adjustment period.
